The essentials

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics tools from other providers. We count visits anonymously on our own server, without storing your IP address. We serve fonts, images and videos ourselves. No data is passed to other providers when you visit.

Visiting the website

When you visit this website, our hosting provider IONOS SE (Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur) processes technically necessary data on our behalf: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, browser and operating system, and the page you came from. We need this data to provide the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). IP addresses are stored in shortened form in the server log files, and the log files are deleted after 56 days at the latest. We have a data processing agreement with the hosting provider under Art. 28 GDPR.

Visitor counting

To see which pages are read and how visitors find us, we count page views with a small script on our own web space at IONOS SE (Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur). We store: the time, the page requested, the domain of the page you came from (not the exact address), campaign details from the link (utm parameters), the country (derived from the IP address using a database on our server), device type, browser and operating system, the language set in your browser, how long the page was visible and how far you scrolled, and whether you started or completed the solution finder, started an enquiry form and which of its fields you filled in (only whether a field was filled in, never its content; unsent entries never leave your browser), sent an enquiry or clicked on our phone number or email address. We do not store your IP address. To group page views from the same day, we create an encrypted daily identifier from the IP address and browser identification; the key for this is generated anew every day and the old one deleted. It cannot be used to recognise you or to follow you across several days. Nothing is stored on your device for this. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data stays on our server, is not passed on and is deleted after 25 months. If your browser has “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” switched on, we do not count you. You can object to the counting at any time: Turn off visitor counting for this browser.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies. If you close the cookie notice, your browser stores an entry in local storage (cereno-cookie-hinweis) so that the notice does not reappear on every visit. If you turn off visitor counting, it stores the entry cereno-nicht-zaehlen. Both are strictly necessary for the function concerned, so no consent is required (Section 25(2) No. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act, TDDDG). You can delete the entries at any time in your browser settings. Your browser also keeps files such as images and fonts in its cache so that pages load faster. If we later use cookies or tools from other providers, we will ask for your consent beforehand and update this policy.

Enquiry form and solution finder

If you write to us using the enquiry form or the solution finder, we process the details you enter there: name, email address, company, phone number if given, the topic you chose, your answers in the solution finder and your message. We use them only to answer your enquiry and prepare a call (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Your enquiry reaches us by email; so that none gets lost, we also store it password-protected on our web space at IONOS SE (Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur). Once your enquiry has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligation applies, we delete the data, at the latest after 24 months.

Contact by email

If you email us, we process your address and the content of your message in order to reply. Legal basis and deletion as for the enquiry form.

Knowledge assistant on the home page

The assistant is a demo. Your questions are processed only in your browser and are neither transmitted nor stored.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). To exercise them, write to us at info@cereno.me.

Complaints

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, which is responsible for us.
